The ASAP Eureka! Award is an extraordinary and prestigious opportunity to be recognized for your talent and initiative. The award recognizes an achievement made by an administrative professional who has made innovative contributions to the organization for which he or she works.
The project must have been developed and implemented by one or a team of administrative professionals. This includes professionals with the functions and titles of Executive Assistant, Administrative Assistant, Business Administrator, Personal Assistant, Secretary, Office Manager, Administrative Specialist, Office Coordinator, Executive Secretary and Receptionist (or a related job title with similar responsibilities). It is open to residents of North America only.
The project must involve:
Supporting documents must include at least two of the following: cost savings, increased efficiency or productivity, problem resolution, enhanced morale, stronger accuracy and integrity of operations, increased customer satisfaction, increased teamwork and collaboration. We are also happy to receive 1-2 testimonials from managers or colleagues about the efficacy of the project.
Hotel and airfare accommodations will be booked through APC's travel agent. ASAP will cover hotel accommodations for a maximum of three nights, and coach roundtrip airfare up to $500 with advance reservations within North America and the U.S.
If your initiative is chosen as the winning entry, you’ll receive coach round-trip airfare (up to $500), hotel accommodations for 3 nights at the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center, and a Value Pass registration to the 2018 Administrative Professionals Conference. The ASAP Eureka! Award will be presented at the APC, and the project summary will be featured on the ASAP website, sharing your breakthrough as a “best practice” with your peers.

Many of the awards being distributed by the Defense Intelligence Agency were arriving well after the employee had already departed the agency, or months after their achievement. Stacy devised a solution that streamlined award distribution and lowered processing time from 90 days to just 30.
Using a web program her colleagues were already familiar with, Beth took an incredibly tedious and time consuming process and simplified it via a fully cloud-based system on her own. Her inititive now allows the department's tenure and promotion portfolios to be accessed online from anywhere with an internet connection.
After finding a lack of time and opportunity for networking, training and communication for herself and her colleagues, April created the H.E.A.R.T. initiative. This program’s mission provides professional development, communication channels, networking opportunities, resources and coaching that will help all Administrative Support Professionals to excel, lead, and grow!
