As more and more of the business world adapts to the ever-expanding, always-accelerating world of technology, we’re finding more and more apps dedicated to getting as much of your to-do list as possible accomplished in one place.

One such app is DocuSign, an all-in-one spot to handle electronic documents. DocuSign is widely used and recommended because it’s compatible with desktop, mobile, and tablet devices on all sorts of programs, saves the time, money, and effort involved with faxing or delivering paper documents, and provides greater security by encrypting documents as they’re sent between users.

This all sounds great and DocuSign boasts over one million customers and hundreds of millions of signers. But is DocuSign the only option out there for electronic agreement software?

We did some research and are going to give you the definitive answer, so keep reading!

What is the Cost of DocuSign?

DocuSign offers a couple of different pricing options and plans depending on what best fits your situation:

Free Sign-Only Option

  • If you only need DocuSign’s eSignature feature and don’t want all of the management, editing, and other capabilities, DocuSign offers a free Sign Only option

Personal Package

  • Costs $10 per month for a single user
  • Includes basic workflows, multiple language options, integration with DropBox, GoogleDrive, and more, real-time audit trails, reusable templates, a top-rated mobile app, and more

The Standard Package - DocuSign’s Best Value

  • Costs $25 a month per person, allowing up to 5 users
  • Offers all of the features of the Personal Package plus the ability to share documents, comment on documents, share templates, use customized branding, and more

The Business Pro Package

  • Costs $40 a month per person, allowing up to 5 users
  • Offers all of the features on the Personal and Standard Packages plus signer attachments, drawing fields, bulk send, collecting payment capabilities, single-click consent, and more

With three different options with tons of different features in each, you can choose the option that’s best for you based on your needs and cut out the excess. DocuSign seems great for small businesses as well as larger businesses and enterprises.

What can DocuSign Do For You?

DocuSign covers a huge range of agreement documents over ten business functions, including sales, marketing, legal, product management, and more! You can’t argue with that sort of coverage, especially when it makes signing and managing these documents faster, more organized, standardized, streamlined, and more secure. Documents are encrypted for security and an audit trail is maintained so you’re never unsure of where your document has ended up and what eyes are on it. And the best part? You don’t NEED to pay for DocuSign to use the signing feature!

DocuSign gives you a plethora of control, security, and options when it comes to managing documents.

The Final Verdict

DocuSign is a great eSignature and document management software for businesses, small business owners, and organizations starting out. If you have a standard template for most of your documents and won’t need a lot of editing before sending it off to the signer, then DocuSign is PERFECT for you.

If you don’t anticipate more than five people needing to use your Standard or Business Pro account at a given time, DocuSign is a really great fit. But for larger businesses and enterprises with more users and who need a greater range of capabilities, there are cheaper options with better workflow, interfaces, and customer support.
